My Philosophy
Transforming spirit through touch.
I've been practicing the art of esthetics since 1997, and after nearly three decades I'm still fascinated by the advances in skin care technologies and ingredients. I'm just as inspired by the natural healing abilities of the body and spirit when they're given the nourishment they need: nutritionally, energetically, and spiritually.
The therapeutic nature of this work led me to broaden my skills. I became certified in reflexology and received Reiki attunements, levels 1 through 3, in 2000. I completed an apprenticeship with a Shaman in 2012 and trained as a teacher of S Factor feminine sensual movement in 2014. Each of these has shaped the touch I bring to my work.
I'm the co-owner of Retreat: A Skin & Hair Studio in San Francisco, where I offer clinical facials and Reiki.
In my facials and homecare recommendations, I use Lira Clinical, a line created by warm, innovative women right here in San Francisco. I value their genuine support of estheticians and their ongoing commitment to researching new ingredients and delivery technologies, which keeps my work, and my clients' results, growing.
What inspires me most is creating and taking part in projects and activities that empower women to embrace the inherent beauty and wisdom that lies within. It's what I hope you feel when you leave: renewed, restored, and more at home in your skin.

This space is so warm and welcoming that I feel more relaxed just walking in the door. On top of that, Kimberly is the best esthetician ON EARTH. I have been seeing her every other week for years for efficient, painless, and superior waxing, AND her facials are the most divine you'll ever have.
